For those that have been with me, I’m now past the three year mark on driving a Model Y. I’ll dive in to how things are holding up and I’ll be keeping the same format as last year to give a clean comparison. I want to note again that my driving habits may not reflect that of a normal commuter. Let’s dive into what things look like after three years.

Some stats before we get into to give you all a baseline:
Total Miles: 19,808
Important Specs: Long range, Full Self Driving module, 19" Gemini wheels
Driving Habits: Half the time city driving to local spots, the other half mini road trips driving in the mountains
Settings: Steering — Standard, Regenerative Breaking — Hold(max), Acceleration — normal
Modifications: Floor Mats, Matte Console Covers, Screen Cover, Tow Package and Ski Rack

Maintenance

Regular readers will know that maintenance used to be the bane of my automobile experience. That was also the primary driver in my decision to get a Tesla. Three years in and it still continues to pay dividends. I love not worrying about maintenance or potential issues. No dreadful check engine lights to rain on my parade.
