Political ramifications aside, this is an interesting topic itself. It is crazy to think of vastness of LEO as a limited resource but withe the threat of collision it very much is. The acceleration of satellite launches is both promising and threatening. Regardless of who dominates the space, I hope it pushes humanity into the space domain before we "Wall-E" ourselves.
